Week 1

Wow! House owners for a whole week - and a busy week it was.
DF & I took a couple of days off this week to get on with work on the house. And it shows...
We have removed all the plaster from the main (living) room, dining room and one wall in the 3rd bedroom, removed most of the downstairs wiring, cleared most of the garden and cleared out the large workshop to the side of the property. All-in-all - what we think was - a productive week for a couple of first-timers.
Thanks to Steve & Kirsten, Liam (Harmer Tree & Garden Services), Chris and Alan from Cookes Renewables for their assistance with the house and garden this week!

Removing the end of the garden wall to improve access
(so we can at least fit a midi skip and car in through this very narrow driveway).

Very mouldy walls in the stairwell.

Removing the plaster for 2.5 hours in the 3rd bedroom with a crow-bar, while...

...it took about 30 minutes to remove this larger wall in the living room with the drill!

Finished living room. Yay!

This is the living room, before...

Garden clear-up.

Conifers, a pile of rubble and old asbestos pipes (used as planters!) - gone!
